I'm Hedy Rankin and I decided to create my own website so that I could share my passion -- my dogs!!!  with others. I have been involved with Rottweilers for almost 20 years, and currently I share my life with three wonderful Rotties, Jazz, Ella and our newest addition, Miss Dinah(mite!). I've also included an information page on OCD....No, not Obsessive, Compulsive Disorder...OCD in this case stands for Osteochondrosis Dessicans. OCD is a hearbreaking disease that afflicts mostly large breed dogs. My baby girl Ella was diagnosed with an OCD on her right hock at 16 weeks; and we've been on a very long and painful journey since then to find a solution (to date without surgery) or at the very least to try and help her get asymptomatic. I will continue to update my OCD page as we continue with our quest to help get Ella sound. Wish us luck.

Unfortunately, I've also had a lot of experience dealing with Cauda Equina, a degenerative spinal disease that usually affects dogs in their senior years. My boy Jazz was diagnosed, via MRI with CE just a few days after his 4th birthday. I am including some information on this scary disease as well, and the journey that I went on as I attempted to find the path to healing his back without surgery.
